What time
does the race start? 7:30am.
How many splits will we receive for timing?
Five splits including swim, bike, run, T1 and T2. Finish
time of course. Aquabikers will receive swim, bike, T1
and their finish times.
Where is packet pickup?
Friday night it takes place at the TBA from 5-8pm.
Race morning packet pickup takes places from 5:30-7:00am at the
race site. To find the race site see the answer to Where
is the transition/race site located below.
Are there cut off times for the PITA?
Yes there are. With the race
starting at 7:45am the cut off times will go as follows no
matter what wave you start in: Swim: 9:25am Bike:
1:00pm Run: 3:45pm This gives athletes an 8hr
window to complete the PITA.
Do I need to be a annual USAT member to register for the race?
No you do not. Please register as a non USAT member.
The race registration fee includes the one day license.
If you are registering on a team and are not a annual USAT
member please select the option to include the one day license
in your registration. If you don't we will email you to remind
you to either get an annual membership or be prepared to pay
the extra $12 for the one day.
What do I need to bring to packet pickup?
Everyone needs to have a valid photo ID. If you are a
minor please bring your guardian with you that has a valid
photo ID. If you forget your photo ID we will ask you to
go get it. NO ID means NO RACE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you have a smart phone take a picture of it.
What if I forget my annual USAT membership card?
We will ask you to go get it , download
a temporary card from the USAT website or pull it up on your
phone. If you can't do any of those things you will have
to pay the additional $12 fee for the one day license.
Can I pick
up my friends or spouses packet?
Sorry you may not. USAT states
that all athletes must pick up their own packets in person.
If you are on a relay team, all member must be present to pick
up their packets together.
I would like to volunteer or have a friend or family member
who will.

transition/race site located? We will
be setup in at 111-199 Lake Front Blvd.

What time will
transition close race morning?
The TA will close at 7:15 no matter what race you are in.
Please have everything that you need to start the race will
you before the TA closes. After the race starts relay
members will be allow into the TA using the check in/out side
of the TA.
Where will the
clinic take place? The clinic
will take place on Friday evening where the transition is
located. Here is a picture of the location: TA Location

Is it going
to be dark when we arrive at 5am?
It sure will be. The sunrise isn't
until around 7:15am. We suggest that you bring a flashlight or a
headlamp to see what you are doing in the morning. Where
can we park? There will be
parking in multiple locations.

Where are the
restrooms located? There will
be several locations for these.

swim start on the beach or in the water?
The swim start is in the water. It will be in about shin deep
water.
Is this a deep or shallow water
swim?
The start will be in knee deep
water and will continue that way for about 50-100 yards.
After that you will gradually go into 10-15ft of water and
maybe 20feet approximately for the deepest part.

What is this bike course like?

Otherwise this will be consider a challenging course
consisting of 2 climbs per loop of the PITA course.
Will the be a bottle exchange
on the bike course?
Yes. We will have Hammer Nutrition
bottles full of HEED as well as Score This!!! bottles filled
with water for the PITA course.
What is the run course like?
The run course will be flat and fast
with lots of scenery to look at on the 10km loop since it goes
by the beach and around the park.
Will there be aid stations on
the run course?
There sure be a heck of a lot of aid stations
out there. There will be an aid station in transition as
well as 3 on the run course that you will pass twice each 10km
loop. That is a total of 6 aid stations per 10K.
What will the aid stations be
stocked with?
We will have HEED, water, ice for the du
and short tri. For the PITA athletes you will find Hammer Gel,
animal crackers, pretzels, bananas, M and M's, Endurolytes and Coke. |
