Swim Course

    1500 Meters - 1 loop

The one loop swim takes place in Keuka Lake, a fairly calm lake, in the Finger Lakes Region of NY State. The course is expected to be either a triangular or rectangular loop (depending on wind and surface chop). The water temperature is typically in the 60s to low 70s.  Wetsuits will be allowed.

The swim is a wave start. Check the website approximately one week before the race for exact wave start times.

After the lap, exit the water, climb the stairs, cross Lake Ave., and head to the transition area on your right. No fear, there will be something to prevent you from slipping on the twenty-nine stair that you have to climb, as well as a carpet across Lake Avenue.  However, please be careful while walking around in the water away from the swim start and finish areas, because the zebra mussels in the lake are everywhere and are very, very sharp!

Bike Course

    24.85 Miles - 1 loop

The one loop bike course takes place on fairly smooth roads.  The bike course is mainly flat with a mix of some rolling hills.  There is a moderate climb after the first turnaround in Branchport and a long steady climb starting after the 10 mile to the turnaround point on Skyline Drive. As they say, what goes up must come down so save your legs for the fast downhill finish to transition!

There are no aid stations on the bike course so be sure to carry plenty of water with you.

Run Course

    6.2 Miles - 1 loop

This incredible run course features some spectacular scenery of Keuka Lake and the sprawling farmlands.  There are a few rolling hills, but overall multisport athletes will find this a fast, fair run course. The running surface of this course consists of pavement.

Intermediate athletes will run past the turnaround for the Sprint and make their way a full 3.1 miles down East Bluff Drive to the turnaround.

There will be three aid stations, with water and Heed,  approximately 1 mile apart giving the opportunity to hydrate 6 times while on this course.
